Here goes the water, Again!

We are going to be a hardy little family! We will be able to camp in the most primitive way! Sometime tomorrow the water department is expecting us to be down there to complete our application as well as to make the $100 deposit. We have put them off for as long as we can. Now it looks like they are going to be shutting us off! And they will, if we aren't able to get the money to them right away in the morning. Well, we have received no financial miracle yet! I can not tell you how emotionally draining it is to wait for the mail to come with high hopes and then nothing! Tomorrow we also find out if we will be eligible for the rent assistance that we have applied for, that however looks far from promising! Tonight at the dinner table we gave ourselves the "things will get better" pep talk. Sometimes that little voice of hope and reason is drowned out by the sheer frustration of the situation. It is often the little things that get to us; cutting the potatoes or meat with a butter knife, the hand held can opener that is made for camping, taking something out of the oven with dishtowels, having to do dishes a few times a day because you use up all your dishes at one meal or when someone says we need... and you say when we finally get our money in we will get it! Grumble, grumble,groan! Yes, we know that things will not be like this forever, we just wish we knew when they will be better! In the mean time we will wash out the 4 forks at each meal so we can eat, we will develop Carpal Tunnel syndrome with our can open and move real quick to get the hot pot out of the oven with dish towel. And tonight we will fill every available pitcher with water so that we can get through for a little while without water!
