Constant Worry

Constant worry, that has become our perpetual state of mind! We get up with worry, we worry all day and then we go to bed with worry! It is not the best frame of mind to have day and day out. Last night we went to bed worrying about Kelly needing to walk over a mile to get to school in the morning and then home after school. We were worried that our water is going to be turned off, we are worried about the food situation, the gas situation, the rent, the electric... This morning Kelly seemed determined to go ahead and walk to school on her own, so I prayed like crazy and let her. She texted me promptly upon arriving at school, thank God! This area of town is a little rough and being new to the area, we are a little more than concerned. Then I made some calls to see if we could find some assistance with water deposit, there is none. As I mentioned Shawn has been determined eligible for disability, however there is some issue with his case manager. The guy has been out sick for sometime and left all his work sitting on his desk, unfinished and did not even pass it on to his supervisor for completion. Another case manager has stepped in and has assured us that a supervisor will be looking at it this morning and we will be hearing something from her, maybe today. He also stated that we should have heard something quite sometime ago, that it should have been consider top priority due to our situation and apologized for the other case manager. Apologies are not paying the bills! So we just do what we have been doing, for what seems like an eternity, sit and wait and WORRY!
