Punxsutawney Phil has predicted that it will be an early spring!
Today was the 125th Ground Hog day for Punxsutawney Phil (maybe not the exact same one!)
This is a German superstition, if a hibernating animal casts a a shadow on February 2, the Christian holiday, Candlemas, winter will last another 6 weeks. If there is no shadow then there will be an early spring.
Phil has seen his shadow 98 times and just 16 times since 1887.
